It is well known that gardening is good for our wellbeing and that gardens, gardening, and the company of other like-minded people bring us knowledge, friendship, ideas, reduce anxiety, and bring a bit of peace and tranquillity to our lives.
We will probably meet on the last Tuesday of the month, although I have to say here that it will not always be possible to arrange visits or events on a particular day. But I will try to keep visits to that last week of the month.
A few years ago we visited a school garden in Portchester and we will revisit this project to see how things have progressed. Likewise, a return visit with tea and cake to Tuppeney Barn in Emsworth will be arranged. Where there are no gardens to visit, then we will probably meet up for coffee and a chat and maybe a Q&A with a knowledgeable staff member, at a local garden centre. During the summer months hopefully members of the group will open up their gardens so that we can pick up some hints and tips and enjoy the fruits of their labours!
Our schedule won’t be finalised yet, as I want to see how many members we get. I would love to hear from you with some ideas of gardens to visit or garden related activities to take part in.
