Initially adopted by professional dancers in the US as an effective form of recovery after injury, pilates has steadily grown in popularity around the world, and includes celebrity fans such as Madonna and Jennifer Aniston.
The instructor for Waterlooville U3A Pilates is fully qualified to lead the groups but is not a member of U3A. She carries her own insurance as an instructor. U3A insurance will also cover participants should there be accidents caused by the venue fixtures and fittings. The fees for this group are £28 per 8 week block of classes during term time only.
