Winchester Christmas Market - Sat 4 Dec 2021
With covid still lurking, only 6 people signed up for the first and last trip of 2021. Four of us were stood outside the old Post Office in Waterlooville, watching the buses come and go and waiting patiently for the double-decker No. 37, but having a lovely time just chatting. Then a call came through from the 2 others who were getting on the bus further along the route, asking us where we were .... We had missed it. The 37 had been a single decker and we hadn't given it a second glance.
The first rule of bus tripping has always been to have a great time. This has been downgraded to Rule 2. Rule 1 is now, First Catch Your Bus.
(Footnote: Luckily, Dave B very kindly offered to give us a lift to Petersfield and we were able to catch the Winchester bus. Many thanks Dave.)
Gosport guided walk - Mon 6th Sept 2021
Gosport? G-o-s-p-o-r-t? GOSPORT? Yes. Possibly not everyone's first choice as a great place to visit but, on a gloriously sunny day, in the knowledgeable company of our Guide, Andrew Negus, 19 Bus trippers enjoyed a very satisfyingly happy day out.
