At each monthly meeting we look at, and taste, up to six wines. The connection between the wines may be colour, grape variety, geographical area or any other combination that means we get to taste - a variety of wines! We tend to look at wines at about £6 per bottle although the fun had in trying to find good wines cheaper than this means we can also look at more expensive wines – occasionally!
In 2014 the group has continued its exploration of this fascinating subject with a quiz night, a look at 'fortified' wines and wines of New South Wales. Future meetings will be looking at 'unusual' wines, chosen by a guest speaker, Spanish wines and wines from Argentina. It is hoped to take a short wine tour to the Beaune region of France in October 2015.
