Group 1 (Currently full)

Venue: Various Meeting time: Last Tuesday of month 2.00pm.
Group Leader: Mike Parry Contact No: Groups liaison officer: Drew Gurney on 023 9264 8216

To contact the group leader please email the group liaison officer via our contacts page.

The group was set up in February 2006 on the cusp of the transition between film based and digital photography. The group now works entirely digitally and we share our images both as projected digital images and as prints.  Whilst the technical aspects of the camera are studied, equal emphasis is given to composition and visual elements such as shape, line texture colour etc. To discuss our photography we mainly use PowerPoint to project digital files. The use of photo editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, is used to enhance images. The group has held exhibitions at Waterlooville Library and several in the group are also members of local camera clubs. Recently some members have gained national photographic distinctions

Group 2 (Currently full)

Venue: Various locations and members' homes Meeting time:Fortnightly on Monday at 10.00am.
Group Leader: Pat Mitchell Contact No: Groups liaison officer: Drew Gurney on 023 9264 8216

We are a friendly group who meet to assist one another in the complexities of using a digital /other camera in settings other than in auto.  Once a month we go to a venue to take photos, most recently Fort Nelson, and subsequently look and constructively criticise them to try and improve the “taking eye”.  We are also trying to resolve problems arising for members from the available editing software.

MOTION or OLD/NEW

One of our recent photographic meetings was a visit to Havant. It was a cold, grey day, reflected in the photos, but the aim was to produce pictures showing motion or examples of old/new. One picture each from some of our members is shown below.
