The group was formed in May 2010 when 10 apprehensive but enthusiastic people got together for the first time. Since then we have been working with the French language book "Breakthrough French 1". Our aim is to complete the course in an informal and relaxed manner, and to give ourselves the confidence to cope in everyday situations when in France. Laughter is an integral part of the course.

Overview of activities: This French group is aimed at those who have already studied the language. Each week members prepare something to say to the group in French, helped by the group leader. We are also following the Audio pack, BBC French Experience 2, and members need to obtain their own copy of the book which can be borrowed from the public library. Twice a year we have a social and dejeuner to meet with the other 3 French Groups. Occasionally we organise an outing to see a French film. Mostly it is fun learning French together to improve our visits to France!

Activity Overview: We meet once a week and converse in French to the best of our ability. We do not have any formal instruction but we make use of on-line material .

Nous sommes un petit groupe de six ou sept personnes. Le francais que nous parlons n'est pas tres bon mais nous causons et nous utilisons le dictionnaire et d'autres livres. Quelquefois nous avons un professeur qui aide.
En ce moment ce groupe est complet.
